Light Gauge Steel Building

 

A light gauge steel building (cold-formed steel) is a prefabricated, quick-assembly structure with many advantages over standard concrete constructions. This solution responds to today's ecological challenges since it is 100% recyclable and uses less water, cement and waste. The light gauge steel structures are robust and can support several levels in seismic and cyclonic zones. Assembly of the light steel structure is carried out in a fast way without requiring heavy logistic means, highly galvanized bolted type elements are prefabricated and pre-cut in the factory in Turkey. These lightweight steel constructions are modular and adaptable to meet the comfort and aesthetic requirements of individuals, companies and communities. Finally, prefabricated light gauge steel buildings are easily dismantled and moved to a new site to meet temporary building needs.

Lightweight steel buildings are used to form a wide range of structures and buildings with highly variable architectural plans such as single or multi-storey houses, depots and sheds, living bases for site personnel, hospitals, administrations and schools, workshops and factories.

The customer can choose the type of cladding: fibre cement panel cladding, sheet metal cladding, aluminium tray cladding or sandwich panel cladding with insulation. The supplier can integrate swing or sliding gates as well as doors for staff entrance. For factory or workshop construction projects and when using overhead cranes, the steel structure can be reinforced.

Turkey is a pioneer country in the production of light gauge steel buildings and steel frame structures. The country has about ten factories specializing in the production, export and installation of prefabricated light gauge steel buildings. The companies also offer an assembly service all over the world by mobilizing their local partners or by mobilizing technicians from Turkey.
