In order to meet the urgent and temporary
workspace needs of businesses and communities, many suppliers offer office containers out as offices.
The price of an office container varies depending on the
type of module used, there are two types of containers:
-
The shipping container transformed and fitted out as an office. These are
old sea containers that have been insulated and fitted out.
-
The prefabricated container made of sandwich panels fitted out as an office. These are modules
directly prefabricated and fitted out as site offices or other configurations.
The price of a 20- or 40-foot sandwich panel office container is two to three
times less than a marine container of the same size.
-
Because of their competitive prices, companies are more inclined to buy prefabricated
sandwich panel office containers. More and more suppliers have reoriented their production towards
manufacture and cutting of sandwich panels and light steel, two essential
elements of a prefabricated office container.
The price of an office container varies according to its
size and the thickness of the frame and sandwich panels used. The price of a
standard 6x2.40m office container with an internal height of 2.4m varies between 1800 and 3000 euros
depending on production specifications. Inexpensive prefabricated containers are usually 50 mm wall
modules, the service life of which will decrease over time and increase with
the number of movements. Disassembly of these competitively priced office
containers will considerably reduce the life of the product.
Suppliers offer high-end prefabricated office containers that are specially designed
to be frequently dismantled and moved. The walls and framework of these
containers are reinforced (outer walls up to 100mm and reinforcement of the
frame and chases that can support heavy loads). These modules, which can double
in price compared to low-cost modules, are generally used by companies active
in the rental of modular containers and prefabricated buildings.
The price of an office container varies according to the
type of container used (sea container or prefabricated), the thickness of the
frame and walls in sandwich panels, the type of door and window joinery
(aluminium, PVC, etc.), the type and thickness of insulation (polyurethane,
rock wool), the quality of the finishes and coating, the quantity and quality
of the lighting and electrical equipment used, and the supplies included
(furniture, ventilation and air conditioning system).
