Prefabricated Office

Prefabricated office buildings made of sandwich panels have many advantages over conventional reinforced concrete constructions. In fact, these prefabricated constructions are used to be quickly installed on the building site without mobilizing heavy and expensive means. The first advantage of a prefabricated office is the low use of concrete for its installation. In recent years, the price of concrete per cubic meter has risen sharply, due in particular to the shortage of cement in some countries around the world, so the choice of a prefabricated solution has made it possible to achieve significant savings while reducing the impact on the environment. Prefabricated office buildings are erected on light foundations (concrete blocks or stringers). These prefabricated buildings without heavy foundations are in high demand in areas where it is sometimes difficult to obtain concrete or in some islands in the Pacific and Caribbean.

But the main advantage of prefabricated offices is the short time for assembly and installation. The floor structure, the upper structure (upper frame) and the sandwich panel walls are pre-cut and pre-painted in the factory and then installed directly on the site. Assembly of prefabricated offices is carried out in 5 main steps:

·         Installation of the lower frame (metal structure with cement fibre board surface on which the type of covering chosen by the customer (pvc, ceramic, parquet, etc.) will be laid.

·         Installation of the H-posts and the outer and inner walls in sandwich panels with insulation.

·         Installation of the ceiling and the upper frame

·         Installation of the roof (trusses and roof purlins made of highly galvanized steel) and the roof covering (galvanized sheet metal or aluminum trough, sandwich panel with polyurethane insulation)

·         Installation of door and window joinery, electrical installation, plumbing and finishing touches

Approximately 80m2 of the surface area of a single-storey prefabricated building can be erected in one working day (excluding electrical, plumbing and alteration work).

A prefabricated office building can be used for short-term temporary projects. The structure can be quickly dismantled and moved to a new site.

The cost of a prefabricated office is very low compared to the construction cost of a standard concrete building.

With the development of the prefabricated and modular building sector, many prefabricated factories have developed their technologies by offering prefabricated buildings that can be installed more and more quickly while providing maximum staff comfort by including the necessary supplies.
