Structures
built by companies working with prefabricated buildings also meet the needs for hospital
space. Turkey uses prefabricated solutions, often made of lightweight
steel, to meet its growing need for hospital beds. Complex prefabricated
buildings can be erected within a few days.

To meet
urgent needs for hospital structures, Turkey opted for prefabricated
sandwich panel buildings. Indeed, the construction of these buildings with
traditional reinforced concrete construction methods sometimes requires a lot of
time and very high production costs. In
order to respond to these time and cost constraints, especially in times of
crisis such as the current COVID-19 crisis, many countries, including Turkey,
are opting for the choice of prefabricated quick-assembly hospitals made
up of light steels structure and sandwich panel walls. These prefabricated hospitals have the same thermal and acoustic
performance as traditional concrete buildings. In addition, the assembly and
completion of prefabricated buildings is generally two to three times
faster than a traditional construction. Finally, with modern production
techniques, there are no more defects in the finishes, the customer can choose
different quality materials to carry out the finishing work (flooring, wall
cladding, false ceilings, door and window carpentry).
The
COVID-19 crisis has shown us that Turkey and many other countries have chosen
prefabricated hospitals with light steel structures to respond quickly to the
growing need for hospital and intensive care space.
There are
two types of prefabricated buildings to quickly erect a hospital:
-
The
standard sandwich panel building with a light gauge steel structure. In
this case, the building will be laid on the concrete slab, a covering will be
necessary. This system offers absolute freedom in the realisation of
prefabricated hospitals without dimensional constraints.
-
A
prefabricated modular building composed of prefabricated containers
that will be juxtaposed and superimposed to create a prefabricated hospital
of one or more levels. The dimensions of the building will be fixed according
to the standard dimensions of a prefabricated container: 6 meters or 12
meters long and 250cm wide. This modular system is quicker to install, prefabricated,
quick-assembly hospitals can be laid on simple concrete blocks or concrete
stringers.
Many
suppliers in Turkey offer you prefabricated hospitals and medical containers at
competitive prices and short delivery times.
